Meeting Agenda for 2008
This is the agenda at this time. Please check back if you would
like to attend any of the meetings to see if there are any changes

Friday, August 8, 7 p.m.:
The Herb Society of Historic Saltsburg will hold their next meeting
on Friday, August 8, 2008, at the Saltsburg Borough Building, 320
Salt Street. The agenda includes plans for Saltsburg's Heritage
Days, September 12-14.
The August meeting will also feature a discussion of lavender, its
uses and care in the garden, and lavender-themed refreshments.

September meeting TBA.
Saturday, October 11, 1 p.m.: The meeting will be held at Carla
Eichman's house. The Society will construct hypertufa
containers for plantings and decorations.
Friday, November 14, 7 p.m.: The meeting will be held at
Saltsburg's Borough Building. The agenda includes making
decorations for the Society's Christmas tree on the Canal.
Friday, December 12, noon: The Society will have its annual
Christmas tea at the home of Doris Anderson. There will be a
cookie and gift exchange.
PAST MEETINGS IN 2008Friday, March 14, 7 p.m.: The meeting
will be held at Saltsburg's Borough Building. Special guest: John
Wandrisco from the Latrobe Mini-Garden Society. Refreshments
will be served.
Friday, April 11, 7 p.m.: The meeting will be held at Saltsburg's
Borough Building. Program: Doris Anderson will give a short
presentation on calendula, 2008's Herb of the Year. See About Us
for more info about calendula.
Friday, May 9, 5 p.m.: The Society will meet at the Museum Garden
and do a walk-through of all of our gardens.
Also in May, there will be a few days of special meetings to dig and
pot plants from members' gardens to sell at Canal Days.
June 6, 7, 8: Canal Days. Please visit us in the Museum Garden
for our annual plant sale. See the Special Announcement at the
right.
Friday, June 13, 7 p.m.: The meeting will be held at Louisa
Fordyce's. The program includes a recap of Canal Days and our
annual plant sale.
Friday, July 11, 7 p.m.: The Herb Society of Historic Saltsburg will
hold their next meeting on Friday, July 11th, 2008 at the home and
gardens of local bird and butterfly authority Marcy Cunkleman.
