Meeting Agenda for 2010

All interested parties are invited to attend any of our meetings; it is
not necessary to be a member of the Herb Society.  Please call

January 9: Luncheon meeting at the Olde Salt Restaurant in
Saltsburg

February 12: Discussion on false indigo, the 2010 Plant of the
Year, presented by Jeane Emge, 7 p.m.,

March 12: Free Program on Dill, 7 p.m., Saltsburg Borough Building

April 9: Discussion on labyrinths, 7 p.m., Saltsburg Borough
Building

May 14 and various other dates in May: Plant digs at various
member's homes to provide plants for the Canal Days sale

June 4, 5, and 6:  29th Annual Canal Days; visit us behind the
Becky Hadden Museum for unique and interesting annuals and
perennials, herb products, hand-knitted wash cloths, stepping
stones, and hand-poured hand creams and soaps.  New this year:
FlowerPot Guy planters, sundial tops with gnomon, and
windowscreen dragonflies.  The hours are Friday, June 4, 5 p.m. to
8 p.m.; Saturday, June 5, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 6, 11
a.m. to 5 p.m.

Late June: Greensburg Garden Tour; members carpool to the sites

July 7:  Tour of Rodef Shalom Biblical Garden in Pittsburgh

July 9: 7 p.m., Saltsburg Borough Building, discussion to center
on garden maintenance throughout the summer

Aug 13: 6 p.m., planning for annual tea; meeting at the home of
Jeane Emge.

September 10: 7 p., Saltsburg Borough Building. Plans for the
October Fashion Tea will be finalized.  Possible trips to Phipps
Conservatory in Pittsburgh or Stan Hywet in Ohio will be
discussed.

Oct 16:  Second Annual Tea; Victorian buffet; antiques appraiser
John Mickinack

Nov 12: 7 p.m. Saltsburg Borough Building.  Activity:  Create tree
decorations for the Herb Society's Christmas tree on the Canal.
